Sixeart

 Sixeart

In 2008 the Spanish artist Sixeart achieved international fame by participating in Street art at the TATE Modern. Before that he visited Denmark with a small exhibition at the We Love Asbæk gallery, were all his work was sold before they opened. Today his works are shown in Spain alongside those of Miro, Chillada and Tapiez. Right now he’s showing at A.L.I.C.E in Brussels with 4 new paintings and his first ever screen print, limited to 30 editions.

Erik Refner

I just returned from a photo shoot with photographer Erik Refner. He is shooting a series of family portraits for a campaign I’m working on. After the first session I’m pleased that we got a hold of him, the pictures look great and I can’t wait to see the finished product. The style is photo journalistic and Erik fits perfect in that category. 5 time World Press Photo winner amongst other, be sure to check out his work here.

Shoot, stab, then punch?

The Apache is part pistol, part dagger, and part knuckle duster.  It was created in Belgium during the late 1800’s. What came first the Swiss knife or the Belgium pistol?

Unfair

You better be fast if you’re planning on speeding in Italy. We’re getting cops on mountain bikes pretty soon in Copenhagen – Right?

Google Alphabet

This guy, Rhett Dashwood spends a lot of time cruising Australia on Google maps, looking for letters in buildings, roads and nature. Kind of interesting that it’s actually possible to find a whole alphabet in just one country. Who’s up for the challenge in Denmark?

CPH:PIX

I went to see “Prince of Broadway” yesterday with a friend of mine. Pretty intense film and all right entertainment, not the best acting though. I’m checking out “Synecdoche, New York” tonight. Script and direction by Charlie Kaufman which can’t be all bad, having in mind that he made great pix as “Being John Malkovich”, “Adaption” and “Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind”.

Anyway. A good friend of mine, Peter Willer, made the trailers for CPH:PIX. Just got around to see it now, and it’s looking good.

Now get off your butt and support the CPH:PIX Festival.

The Puerto America

 The Puerto America

So I’m back from a short break in Madrid. Weather wasn’t too good, but luckily we stayed at The Puerto America which had lots to offer. 14 floors with a rooftop pool/spa each designed by different designers and architects. And not just anybody, were talking Zaha Hadid, Norman Foster, Jean Nouvel, Ron Arad and Marc Newson – pretty cool. We had the pleasure of staying at Marc Newson’s sleek, red light district floor. Even though I rather would have spend my time in one of Zaha Hadid’s organic rooms it still was a good experience.

More pictures in the post.

Here I come

barajas airport rrp06 021 Here I come

I’m leaving for Madrid one of these days. I spend a couple of hours in the airport two years ago and if the city is anything like the airport, it’s going to be a great stay.

Check out the colours that works as a gate indicator. Informational graphics at it’s best.

Cradle to Cradle

cradle to cradle Cradle to Cradle

I bought Cradle to Cradle a couple of months ago, havn’t had time to read it yet, but i’m hoping to get started this Easter. The 7th. of May one of the writers – William McDonough – is coming to Denmark to receive the Rockwool price, so if you want to see him in person, this is your chance.
