The New Yorker “iPhone Brushes” Cover

picture 12 The New Yorker “iPhone Brushes” Cover

This new cover of The New Yorker was made by Jorge Colombo. You would think that it was an original painting on canvas but it was actually made on an iPhone App called Brushes. It took him an hour to paint this food cart scene on his iPhone on 42nd street.

Check out a video of how the illustration was created on NewYorker.com.

It was built from 50 cars by the side of the main road to Stockholm airport. An accompanying website included a live feed of the bus-sculpture plus gizmos to work out how much carbon would be saved by switching from car to bus.

Check out the amazing/educational video after the jump.
