An artist life

I just discovered the French surrealist photographer Gilbert Garcin. He only took up the art seriously in his 60s after having retired from running a lamp factory. The techniques, quirkiness and humour has obviously influenced many through time.

Everything seems to be falling in place for Martin Klimas still life pictures. MWM for Mini

Welcome to Matt W Moore’s world. His retro, abstract inspired graphics with a steely, graffiti-edge have seen this young Portland-based artist’s work traverse the globe. Moore’s vast commercial portfolio includes gigs for mega brands including Burton, Nike, Wired, Citroen, Vodafone and many others. Fascinated with symmetry, geometry and saturated color, he creates retro-spirited, abstract graphics with a wild, graffiti edge. Check out more colorful vectorfunk abstractions after the jump.

New video from Fischerspooner. I’ve always liked their videos, kind of art meets theater. Video is shot on a RED Camera and it looks sweeeet.
