Futuristic Art

Russian graphic designer Tatiana Plakhova blows me away with her beautiful science fiction-like creatures. Her handmade vectors come alive when the lines and dots connect to form intricate patterns and shapes. (Through Ulrik)
Scandinavian beach and travel style
Since we’re in the middle of a Fashion Frenzy in Copenhagen I just want to share this nice video with you. Directed by Christian Friis for danish Swimwear company North. The North collection is inspired by the dream of endless and carefree summers at the beach. The design is Scandinavian; a timeless minimalistic style and carefully worked details with a contemporary edge. Cool thing is that you can combine top and bottom endlessly, that way tighten up your bikini look each summer gets easier.

Retrofied Future Ads

I stumbled by this retro looking ad for Facebook and had to post it here. I love vintage design/ads and found out that this is actually a part of a campaign for Maximidia Seminars. Twitter, Skype and Youtube is shown after the jump – including the original ad.
Cardboard Boxes Become Pixelated Fantasyland

The Parisian architect Stéphane Malka turned an empty room into a gorgeous minimalist landscape by filling it with the humblest of humble objects, the cardboard box. See more at Fastco Design

Beautiful, ironic and colorful street art illustrations from Sandrine Estrade Boulet. Via.
Ivan Navarro

Ivan Navarro views his work as building upon the unresolved aspects of minimalism, striving to engage viewer interaction and highlight the social and political factors that inherently lie within formal composition. Or in short, light installations tend to look really nice. Via
