In the old days it was the only way to settle things. Check out these 2 modern duals. First video by The Dead Weather is directed by Jonathan Glazer. Second is how it’s done in hill billy country.

M.I.A – BORN FREE VIDEO OFFICIAL (real and explicit version)

Another well directed video by French guy Romain Gavras, this time for M.I.A.’s new single from her new album dropping Summer 2010. With videos like Justice “Stress”, DJ Mehdi “Signature” and Simian Mobile Disco “I Believe” behind him you will always have huge expectations to everything Romain does. This video does not disappoint you – believe me.

Chillout Sessions

We all know how tilt-shift photography is really popular. Making ordinary life look like it was a small scale model. These guys took another approach when designing cover art for the Australian Ministry of Sound Chillout Session. The build a model of ordinary life trying to make it look real. This is what Collider in Austrlia write on their website.
A homage to Frank Lloyd Wright and Neutra and the lifestyles their buildings accommodated, Chillout Sessions XII takes us to a fusion of time periods somewhere between the 50s and the 80s in the filtered light of California.
I Own You

I just received this great music video today. Directed by Romain Chassaing and produced by SoLab for Wax Tailor featuring Charlie Winston. Even though I’ve never heard of any of them, I’m impressed. It’s always nice to see some well produced analogue work/play. Oh, and it’s a catchy tune. Be sure to watch it.
